NOTE: If you are canceling employment visa after the grace period, you will have to show air ticket and pay Dh190 for out pass at the Immigration Department. Then you should exit within one week and enter on new visa if you have got new visa. Visit/Tourist Visa How much is the fine if I overstayed on Visit/Tourist Visa? • Fine for Visit visa/Tourist Visa over stay. Dh200 for the first day and Dh100 for each consecutive day. This fine to be paid at Immigration or at the airport when the Visitor exits. Residence/Employment Visa How much is the fine if I overstayed after cancellation of my Residence Visa? • Fine for Residence Visa, Employment Visa overstay: Dh25 per day. Fine will be calculated after 30 days of grace period. This fine to be paid at Immigration at the time of renewal or cancellation. • Overstay after cancellation of Residence Visa and Employment Visa: Dh25 per day fine to be paid at the airport while goes out. ![]() Labour Card/Work PermitHow much is the fine for Labour Card if I did not renew after expiry? Dh1000 per month fine to be paid if delayed to submit new labour card application within 60 days from the date of entry/status change, or delayed to renew labour card within 60 days from the date of expiry. Occupational Health CardHow much is the fine for Occupational Health Card after its expiry?• Employee has to apply for this Card within 30 days from the date of his arrival/ Status Change. If delayed, Dh310 will be fined. Card must be renewed within 30 days from the date of expiry. Incase of delay fine Dh310 to be paid.• If the employee is outside the country and his/her Occupational Health Card is expired, then he/she must renew the card within 5 working days from the date of entering the country. Vehicle Registration Certificate / MulikiyaHow much is the fine for Vehicle Registration Certificate late renewal? Fine for Mulkiya late renewal: Dh20 per month to be paid at RTA at the time of renewal. Mission VisaIs there any fine if the Mission Visa holder did not exit on expiry of his Visa? Visa holder has to enter UAE within 60 days from the date of Visa issue. Within 30 days from the date of arrival, Medical and Labour Card processing must be completed. In case of failure to complete the said procedures within 30 days, fine for delay will be calculated at Dh100 for every day. Same fine will be charged for each day incase failed to renew labour card on completion of 3 months. Upon the expiry of the renewal period of the mission visa, the holder has seven days to leave the UAE. In case of delay, Dh100 will be calculated for every day. A proposed employee should not work with a company before getting work permit approval in his name. Relative sponsored ladies should not work with a company before getting work permit approval in her name from Ministry of Labour. Fine for Ministry of Labour Transactions Companies indulging in ghost Emiratisation will be fined Dh20,000 for every ghost worker, and a Dh20,000 fine for every case in which incorrect information is entered into the wage protection system. Companies that delay the payment of a worker’s wages for 60 days face fines up to Dh5,000 per worker, and in cases where multiple workers have not been paid, the maximum fine that can be imposed on the a company is Dh50,000. A Dh5,000 fine per worker will be issued for fake worker-signed receipts that they have acquired their wages, with a maximum limit of Dh50,000 in cases that involve multiple workers. a Dh20,000 fine will be issued for providing labour accommodations that do not meet the standards set by the ministry. Companies will be fined Dh20,000 for not using a worker for a period of two months. A Dh20,000 fine will be imposed on companies for charging the labourer the employment expenses incurred by the company and cutting the labourer’s wages without a legal contract, not abiding by rules regarding the employment of Emiratis, not responding to summons within a specific time set by the minister for matters related to labourer affairs, not reporting an absconding worker, and making false reports about absconding workers. Establishments found to be violating the midday break rule will face a fine of Dh15,000, and companies not registering in the wage protection system and not providing and not following procedures for vocational safety and health regulations will be fined Dh10,000. Companies will also face a Dh10,000 fine for not reporting the death of a worker or injuries sustained by the labourers during work, for not addressing violations found in labour accommodations within the time period provided by the ministry.
